Meet the Team

Life On Music is thrilled to introduce our expanded team of music therapists!

Katie Schripsema, MT-BC

Katie is a board-certified music therapist and occupational therapist, and is passionate about

exploring how music and movement support self-regulation and promote development. She has experience in working with children in a variety of settings including early intervention, private practice, preschools, public schools, outpatient clinics, summer camps, and foster care. Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest, Katie worked to expand music therapy services in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loves engaging individuals in active music-making, combining her knowledge of sensory processing and motor development to uniquely support each child. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, rock climbing, and long phone conversations.



Natalie Maeda, MA, MT-BC , LMHCA

Natalie is a board-certified music therapist and a licensed mental health counselor associate. She earned her masters degree in music therapy and counseling from Drexel University, and is dedicated to integrating music therapy with psychotherapy to promote health and support the growth and development of each client's natural strengths. She is committed to working through a culturally-responsive lens to best meet the needs of individuals and their families. She has experience working across the lifespan from infants to older adults, and has worked in multiple settings, including preschools, assisted living facilities, inpatient units, and crisis settings. Natalie enjoys going on walks and reading in her free time.​








Emma Daughters

Emma received her Bachelor of arts in music therapy from Seattle Pacific University with an emphasis in

psychology. She completed her music therapy internship at the Music Therapy Center of California in San Diego where she gained experience working with children and adults of all ages and various abilities. Emma has enjoyed working in private practice, public schools, assisted living, memory care, hospice, and group homes. She is passionate about using music therapy for sensory regulation to improve all domains of functioning. In her free time, she enjoys playing drums, baking, and caring for her many house plants.
